Single Mom Needing Motivation

My baby girl is 10 months old and I've tried for the past 7 months to get into shape. I've gone through depression and anxiety during this time as I am dealing with the end of an emotionally abusive relationship. I am on track for a few weeks eating right and exercising and then I fall off the wagon. I have decided that I am ready to put myself and my health first. I'm hoping I can find some friends here to keep me motivated and accountable and that I can do the same for them.

Don't aim to eat right and exercise, aim to eat well and get moving.

well just remember - your baby girl is watching you and will do what you do. ask yourself...what do you want for her life.

Just keep trying, and eventually you push through and get on a roll. We've all done that. Like they say success is refusing to fail.. you can do it. Come here and read the forums and get motivated and get some good ideas. It really helps to surround yourself with information and people who are on the same path.

    You can do it!!! :)

Sometimes as humans we tend to take on more than we can handle at one time. It's OK to make a rated list of important things in your life and put some of the lower rated items on hold until you have the energy to spend on them. These days I tend to look at my personal energy like currency, what can I spend (or exert) today without becoming completely drained or pushed over the edge into exhaustion? Will the things on my list fit into my daily routine and what do I put on hold when some emergency happens or some other priority requires more energy than I thought? Don't beat yourself up when something throws you out of your routine just right the ship (so to speak) and carry on the next day. Take it slow and build upon the momentum of your successes. From your post it obvious you have a lot on your plate so remember to first breathe and center yourself, things will start to fall into place if you are patient and don't exhaust yourself.
