Reward dilemma...need advice

I am just starting back on this get healthy journey. One of my past favorite motivations was to hang a cute outfit that I am looking forward to fitting back in to. This morning I put my flirty yellow, black and white chiffon skirt up where I could see it with a sexy black top and strappy heels. I plan to put up outifts that will fit in 5 pound increments. My favorite clothes are my nice skirts and pretty dresses.
Dilemma...Where am I gonna go? My lifestyle in these past few years has changed. I am a single Grandma. I dont necessarily want to treat my weight loss with meals and cocktails. My clothes are too dressy for church......But I really miss dressing up and looking pretty.
Any suggestions? Plus money is tight but I am willing to splurge a little from time to time.

Maybe go to a concert, or a broadway type play or musical? This is what I usually dress up for.
Find a non-profit that supports something you are passionate about and see if they have a yearly fundraising gala?0 -
Take a walk in the city.0

Go get a cup of coffee, go to the grocery, wherever!!! You earned it, so put on that outfit and wear it proud, knowing you feel good and look great!!!!!!0

I say where it ANYWHERE!! Once it fits where to the store. I often stop off at the store either coming or going from a date. No one knows where you have been or where you are going. It is also a bit fun to have the inquiring looks of -hmm... wonder what she is dressed up for. Just a thought.0

My hubby and I are involved in regional professional theatre (he music directs and conducts the orchestras at show time) I am a professional audience member! LOL
Your out fit seems perfect for wearing to theatre, concerts, musicals, plays, etc. At least that is how I dress for it, and you are right it is FUN!!!
So find a friend and see some shows and concerts, most events outside of big cities are reasonable priced! I could also see you strolling through a museum dressed lovely. People would think you are some weathly heiress considering for her own art collection......skies the limits girl!
Have fun and good luck!0 -
Check out museums, galleries and other cultural places that might have a free night or an opening . Indoor and outdoor (botanical gardens for example)
Also, see if any movie theaters do classic movie showings as people usually dress up for them. There is a wonderful theater in my hometown that shows classic movies on certain nights all summer and it's such an event- Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Seven Year Itch, Double Indemnity, The Appartment, Murder By Death and too many others. Fun event and reasonable prices.0 -
I love everyones advice. Especially the advice to wear it to the store or anywhere. I think I will do that. I just received our local community paper today and there was a list of the free music venues in my area. I will definitely be looking forward to going to my local grocery store, barnes and noble then out to a local restaurant for a glass of white wine and great music while wearing something pretty and flattering. How fun and exciting. Thanks all! I cant wait to reach my first goal!0
