How do you count how many lbs you lose? I know that sounds stupid but this is what I mean...
August 1st I was 207.2lbs but then I went up to 210 for a few days, and now I'm at 201.4lbs
So can I count the pounds I gained too...
Did I lose 5.8lbs, or did I lose 8.6?????
I'd like to think 8.6 HA!

It's up to you which number you want to use. Since your weight switched so quickly and it was only for a couple of days it's likely just water weight.
If it were me I'd stick with the 207.2 as the initial weight because it's closer to your actual weight instead of just water. But if seeing that bigger number makes you feel better I say go for the 8.6 loss! Haha.0 -
Personally, I don't count when I go up. I just wait to get back down past where I was. Mainly because a lot of times it can be just water weight. If it were me I would go with 5.8lbs even though the 8.6lbs sounds better

I wouldn't count the pounds I gained. I just base all weight loss off of my starting weight. As long as any gain is just fluctuation and the trend of your weight is generally downwards.0

I log my weight every week..regardless if I lost..stayed the same or went up. Getting myself accountable is the most important thing to me.0

have one day as your weigh day, and stick to that, and log any losses on that day. if u weigh other days as well thats fine, but u should only log one 'official' weight per week, and count that for how much u lose/gain etc.0
