Hi. I would advise working on your self worth as you work on your weight, because when you lose the weight, you may still have low self esteem, and that will affect you. Getting your mind and body sorted at the same time is the best way to go. There's nothing wrong with not having a job. Until you find one, you could do voluntary work, maybe an hour a week. This will keep you occupied doing something you may find worthwhile and maybe increase your confidence. Paid employment isn't an indicator of self worth. You have a heart full of goodness and a brain full of intelligence. Put them both to good use while you embark on your weight loss journey.1

Hi šš» Iām starting over too, and also job hunting. We can be Twinnies!!! How about asking your friends for three things they like about you, that will boost your confidence. Good luck š2

Thanks for replies. I do volunteer twice a week with two charities, swim once a week and have a work coach. Also just getting into mindfulness, hopefully going to weekend retreat. Quite a bit of socialising too.
Attending health course to manage my pain, as well as suffer with anxiety3
