I use it after all forms of exercise, beit squash, swimming, running, rowing, weights. I take it before bed as the body is without it for eight hours too.0

According to my nutritionist and general health nut father, you should have some protein after any workout, including all cardio workouts. You should also eat some complex carbs *before* a workout, when fat burning is your goal.0

I use it right after strength training AND cardio. Unless it was a light cardio session, I use it.0

It should be after any form of exercise. It's good to rebuild and repair. When I was training with a personal trainer she told me to take protein even after a night of dancing.0

I drink a protein shake after almost every single workout I do, cardio or strength training! I like em so much sometimes I will have one even on rest days as part of a smoothie or with my lunch.0

You can also get your protein needs from whole food: fish, chicken, turkey, beans, eggs, nuts (high in fat). etc. You might find the following links helpful:

Yes! I use GNC's Lean Shake after any workout and my main focus is basically well.. CARDIO!
They have ready to go bottles with 25 g of protein. Swiss Chocolate is my favorite!0 -
I think it's important to understand the difference between protein drinks and recovery drinks...
I would recommend reading some materials on the subject to educate yourself (like such): http://www.spma.net/recoverydrinksfin.htm

Maltodextrine has no place in post workout nutrition. Article must be a bit old. People have since realized that to be truly glycogen depleted takes an immense effort. And even if you are depleted, the glycogen refill process take 24 hours.
To the OP, if your workout will consist of just cardio, I would place a higher priority on making sure you are fueled PRIOR to working out. Protein shake after your cardio session is fine, but only as part of the bigger picture... i.e., your daily total macros.0 -
