That sounds like a pretty low weight already - it sounds like it is time to focus on exercise to help you tone up and feel better.
Don't worry about the number on the scale - pay attention to how your clothes fit and how you feel.
Building muscles through regular exercise isn't going to make you look bulky, it will make you look lean and toned.

to "tone"is to tone your muscle, so you will get the illusion of muscle to an extent. you will need to do strength/weight training for this. taekwando is also good. you could do as much weights as you like and still not build muscle unless youre eating surplus calories.

Don't worry. Fat doesn't turn into muscle. The muscle helps to burn up the fat. 1lb of muscle is a lot smaller and compact than 1lb of fat so even if the scales say you haven't lost pounds you will look smaller and that's what counts. I haven't lost any weight for over a year (according to the scales) but everyone comments on how much weight I've lost and I've gone down a dress size. I can only put it down to exercising 5 times a week.
    Good luck

I wont to get back to my weight from before as i put nearly two stone on and ive relised this isnt the way i wont to be. For exercise i do zumba and i tend to walk alot. Going to start circuit training and pretty soon aswell. But my doctor said to exercise because i have asthma and it will help with that so for general fitness reasons too. Thanks both :D xx

Phew thats good then thanks debs and welcome for your dropping a dress size! Good work xx
  • I agree about the scales not mattering as much. Being strong and healthy is more important. You can see from my profile pic that I have changed the shape of my body quite a bit, but there is only a 10lb loss. You can be the same size as another girl and yet weigh more just becuase you have more mucles mass. Don't sweat the weight as much as the measurements and the tone of your body. Weight is just a number.
