I've recently moved out of my parents, so i can now shop for myself cook for myself etc. so now it's time to start losing the weight i've been wanting to lose for so long. I'm beginning to not even be able to look in the mirror & i hate going out in public. this needs to stop! i haven't been swimming once this summer, because i don't want people looking at me in a swimsuit, it makes me sick :/ I'm 18, and a little under 4'8 and weigh 256 lbs. weight loss has been really hard for me, and a lot of my family is overweight, but I'm young and i really need to do this for me. My goal weight, at the end is 85/90 lbs. but for now, my goal is to lose 40/50 lbs by the end of this year. i joined this website because it seems to have a decent community, and i get discouraged easily so i may need some motivation.

Welcome xorissa! You should try to add buddies who also use MFP. Its nice when you have a support team. I only knew a couple of people so I searched for some local people in my area. That way I knew if they posted about products they've tried I could easly find them too. Its nice have support and also find people who are aiming for the same goals you are. Right now I want to lose more than 100+ lbs myself but I'd be really happy to see at least 60 shed and then go from there.

Feel free to add me though! I'm always looking for people to add to keep up a good support system. I esp love friends who log in a lot, are vocal and supportive. I create lots of recipes and share things I find with others on my wall.

Don't forget to not be hard on yourself! Your body will get used to it. That's what I keep telling myself too :)
  • Good Luck and enjoy the first day of the rest of your life! and your new place too!
