Too much Sugar and Protein?! Really

I feel like I'm eating like a rabbit! Only a little bit of fruit and a ton of vegetables and some chicken breast and turkey burger is the mass of my diet everyday! Does anyone else always go over sugar and protein but not fat and sodium? Any food tips?!

I personally believe the standard protein allotment is too low on MFP. Also, if you're eating healthy, natural sugar...such as sugar in fruit...then I wouldn't worry too much about the sugar allotment on here. I go over it everyday, but as long as I'm avoiding processed foods and refined sugar, I'm ok with that.0

agreed it bothers me that the prcessed sugars and natural sugars are put together. It's ok to eat a lot of natural sugars, if your a diabetic I would talk to your doctor about it though. With protein you can actually change that if you go to settings and you can manually set your numbers to what you want. I had to change the protein and the fiber on here. The fiber is also low.0 -
I have a problem with sugar too, but this is because I eat a lot of fruit. Annoying!0

If the sugars you are eating aren't from a candy bar or ice cream (or name food X here), then don't worry about it. And you really don't have to worry about going over on protein. If you're eating a bunch of veggies, that will probably increase carbs and fiber as well... which you also shouldn't worry about.
So what I'm trying to say is... don't worry about it.0 -
Take the sugar off your tracker! its annoying to be over on sugar when it is coming from fruits! I dont even look at it anymore! Protein i eat 1 gram per lb for my desired weight.....well thats the idea anyways! but its usually between 90 and 130 grams....just focus on clean foods and you will be fine:)0

I go over in sugar EVERY DAY and I think it's just from fruit, which contains a lot of natural sugar. I think they set the bar kinda low on that one.0

I don't track sugar, but I changed my settings to "the zone" basically, 40/30/30 for carbs/protein/fat and then I also track sodium.
I don't know if you are new to this, but I found I had to take steps, like only watching calories at first and once that was easy, I tried to get enough protein (30%) and then tried to reduce carbs. I still don't watch sodium but maybe someday0 -
Sugar is sugar is sugar, you can't "eat tons of sugar" just because it's from fruit instead of shoveling spoonfuls of table sugar down your throat. Fruit sugar (fructose) is actually the part of table sugar ("refined" sugar if you prefer) that has been linked to obesity, and fructose has been shown to be almost equally effective as glucose in spiking your blood sugar level.
Your body just recognizes sugar, it doesn't know the difference between sugar from an apple, sugar from a slice of cake, sugar from a can of soda, it's all the same as far as your body is concerned. Fruit is healthy, but still needs to be eaten in limited amounts.0 -
