    Use it?

I usually skip one meal a day. It helps keep my calories in check.

What do you mean by “use it”? Like for what purpose do you mean?

I have been doing intermittent fasting for 6weeks now and lost 7 pounds. I have increased my fasting time to 19/5. I skip breakfast and break my fast around 1pm. Trying to lose 20 more. Want to push to 20/4 by the end of the month. Weight loss is slow but I can be patient.

My doctor suggested IF due to high insulin levels. I've lost 20 pounds in 7 weeks. I am also mostly gf, grain free and dairy free for health reasons. I do 16:8 and I feel great. Can't wait for my check up at week 12. Hoping to add back in more dairy and grains.

Eating regularly and not too much definitely has health benefits, but there is only a placebo effect in choosing specific and random "feeding windows" and giving it names, like "intermittent fasting", "protocol" and "feeding window".

You'll have to rotate it in your phone. Nothing on this site to flip pictures.

IF is only an eating schedule. Has no benefit outside of normal eating if calories are still constant/ controlled
