Back injuries

Hello all,
Ever since working with weights (6 months) even though I feel as though I have the correct form, I always have doubt about doing my back in.
Especially when I occasionally experience mild lower back pain.
Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

You have pain, think your firm is okay and have doubts. Has anyone ever evaluated your movement patterns
A screen through a physical therapist may be a good investment. At least, find a trainer that can run you through the Functional Movement Screen0 -
I have a personal trainer who watches me train

Prioritize strengthening your lower back muscles above all others. Hyperextensions, bird dogs and Supermans are my go-tos. Find the balance between strengthening and injuring those muscles and persist. For me, the lower back pain caused by 2 herniated discs has significantly decreased just by strengthening the muscles around them (and also my core.)4

Did he or she do some sort of movement assessment before you started working out?1 -
Are you warming up and cooling down before and after exercising? I just love the foam roller for warmups and if my lower back is bothering me.
I bought a $15 foam roller at Walmart but it only lasted a year, so if you want one that will last longer, consider spending more money on it.0 -
Have your back examined. Muscle stiffness and genuine pain are two different things. You could be pinching a nerve, or have degenerating discs and not yet know it.2

To summarise it is important to examine but also warm up, cool down and do the correct exercises for the lower back area0 -

Perform Better foam rollers are in virtually every commercial gym I've been in. Less than $20 for basic models.
