I’ve struggled with my weight all my life. I gain I lose. It’s a yo-yo effect I’ve let got on far to long. This year as been extremely rough but I don’t want to use that as an excuse anymore. Looking to make some new friends that could help motivate and support me as I can do the same. 😀

I was exactly the same as you but then something clicked 10 weeks ago and since then I've been doing great , you can do it just don't aim to high little and often is the way to maintain weight loss in my opinion , always here if you need a chat or something. :-)

Thank you I’ve been stuck and I just truly don’t want to keep giving up after a few months

Why do you keep giving up? Is it because you're expecting a higher rate of loss, and when it doesn't happen you get demoralised, thinking you've failed because you've lost less than you thought you should? I can't motivate you as only you know the reasons why you want to lose weight, and only you have the power to keep going or give up, but I can tell you that you have to eat less calories than you use and do that for a long time, manage your expectations (a loss is a loss whether it's ounces or kilograms), establish eating patterns that are easy and enjoyable, that you can sustain long term, be kind to yourself, be patient, not stress about eating certain foods, and stick at it even when it feels like your weight loss is stalling. Don't make it harder than it has to be. Eat less, move more. How you do that is up to you.

Hi there. I would love to say something super duper inspiring to motivate you but what I've learned is that we can only truly motivate ourselves. How badly to you want it? Set a short term goal...i.e. losing 12lbs by Thanksgiving. Feel free to add me as a friend for encouragement!
