Fitbit Charge 2 vs. 3 - what should I get?

Hi,
I hope this is OK to post here. I am looking into getting an activity tracker & I've been going back & forth on whether to get the Fitbit Charge 2 or 3.
I am absolutely horrible with wanting to get the newest & shiniest version of whatever I'm getting but as far as I can tell, there's nothing dramatically different from the 2 & 3 - especially given that I am around 300 pounds & will just be starting to add regular exercise into my day to day routine.
Anyone who has tried both & would like to recommend one to me?
Thanks in advance.

I'm waiting for the charge 3 because its waterproof so I'm less likely to kill it lol0

I have the Alta HR but want to upgrade to the charge 3. I like the idea of 7 day battery life. My Fitbit barely makes 3 days at this point0

I have the charge 2 and love it. The 3 is waterproof. Comes down probably to what you want to spend. You can probably get a good deal on the 20

DCRainmaker's first look at the Fitbit Charge 3 (and some comparisons to the Charge 2, worth a read for those of you considering it): https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2018/08/first-look-fitbit-charge-3-activity-tracker-with-spo2-sensor-sleep-disturbance-tracking.html3

Charge 3 is more suited and more advanced than Charge 2 - Waterproof, bigger display, richer notifications and many brand new features will make you fall for Charge 3. Check for yourself1

I have a charge 2 and I'm happy with it. My battery lasts on average about 5 days.0
