This past weekend, two different people said they could see my weight loss, and that I looked a lot slimmer. Considering I cannot see it, it made me feel good to know it is actually there.24

After losing track while staying at my parents for two months (kinda what I expected), I am now back on track. Last weekend I was traveling with a friend and couldn't quite control what I ate - and again, I came back to counting afterwards. I also started a morning routine with an abs workout. Stopped for a few days for heslth reasons - and came back to it. This is totally new! Usually I would go of the rails and stay there. Something has changed and I'm super grateful.23

I'm giving daily weighing a break this week. Decided to look into my wardrobe and see if anything else fit differently this week. I thought I'd try on a pretty Chinese style dress which my husband bought me 10 years ago for a special night out and I've never worn since because I couldn't fit into it.
Was able to zip it up and I'm still in shock! Although it's snug fitting and I may be a bit differently shaped having had two more kids since then, if I remember correctly it was quite snug back then too and could be worn out like that as it's meant to be sexy. I'm so excited and glad I kept it. Can't wait to surprise him by putting it on one day soon especially as he's said several times over the years that I would never be able to fit into it again and there was no point keeping it. 💃🏾
Also tried on a cute work pencil skirt that I'd only worn once or so over 8 years ago and it now fits better than when I tried it a few weeks ago so I may rock that tomorrow.
It's been nice not to be frustrated by the scale every morning and these small clothes victories let me know something must be working right.21 -
Oh and went to McDonald's yesterday and didn't buy anything for myself. I actually posted this on my status yesterday because that's a first for me and like a miracle!
I usually buy something small for myself if I'm getting something there for the kids just for the sake of it and even if I'm not really hungry. I feel like I'm finally a real grown up 😂😂.. at 40!22 -
Someone took a full body pic of me and I could really see a difference for the first time! I’m the one in black.

This past Sunday I wore a pair of size 12 pants that have not fit me in several years. They were still a bit tight but man it felt good! I am going to make it my Sunday routine to try them on as motivation until they fit more comfortably.
But being able to get them on at all is huge for me!!33 -
Under my calories today even with my morning latte. And didn't eat my chocolate ice cream that I had "budgeted" for! Dessert has been a hard habit to break...30

Two today!
1) Fit into a really nice dress that I bought on sale a couple of years ago, and was tight at the beginning of July (ie. when I started this journey) - it fits today!! It looks good!!
2) Candid pictures from a work event. I hate candids. Always have. I always end up with ruined self esteem and near tears. One from the back, one from the front... I actually look GOOD. I look PRETTY. I look NORMAL. I feel really great32 -
I put on my swimsuit and jumped in front of the mirror for my normal fast glance before I give up and put a tshirt over it, but this time I ended up staring into the mirror like the demon at the beginning of the movie Constantine! I actually liked or at least tolerated all I saw.
Today was the first time in years, nay decades, I went to the pool without something covering my swim suit.38 -
On this day a year ago, I hit a pretty huge low when I couldn’t find anything to wear for an annual presentation event the next night. I ended up settling for a frumpy size 16 dress that looked like something my 50-year-old mum would wear (sorry to be brutally honest - but as a 20-year-old that cut really deep).
The night was fun but marred by a lack of confidence and feeling so down. It did kickstart a change though. I decided I was sick of feeling fat, ugly, and most importantly, unhappy.
Fast forward a year - I’m 25kg down, more confident and mentally healthier. I’ve found a gorgeous, age appropriate dress to wear tomorrow night and I feel stunning in it. I bought the size 12 as I didn’t want it to be too tight... you know those hang ups we all have about tight clothing and believing what size we wear now. It was actually genuinely too big though and I had to swap it for a size 10 today, which fits perfectly by the way!
I’m a far cry from the person that I was 12 months ago and this week has been a driving motivation for me as I worked to lose the weight. Does it make me a little vein if I can’t wait to show my new body off tomorrow night? So be it!55 -
I recently finished my second Ironman70.3 in Augusta, GA. The hottest place in the South! I took 13 minutes off of last year's time34

I have two:
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of meeting, my best friend invited me to a very nice sushi place. Scanning my wardrobe for something to wear, I happened upon a long sleeve t-shirt I haven't worn in 4 years at least. Turns out, it fits better now than it ever did before. I seriously regret mucking out my closet last December and getting rid of all the clothes that "will never fit me again anyways".
Then, we ordered a sushi platter for two, which was not exceptionally big, but excellent quality. When we finished it, I was pleasantly full but not stuffed. Yes, I could've eaten double the amount ... but I didn't.22 -

Yesterday in the market produce section a man seriously hit on me. He said he saw me and knew he would regret it if he didn't introduce himself. I was shocked and told him that I'm flattered, but married. Did I mention that he has to be at least 20 years younger than me?
Too bad that I'm no where ready to date, but it sure made my day better!
I am turning 60 in just under 3 months. Also married and don't see where flirtation leads, but I have definitely noticed an uptick in how often it happens. Part if that is also being more active. Paddling SUP in particular puts me in the company of a lot of people with similar interests. My wife is not active and not with me; marriage is not in great shape and she likely wouldn't be there even if she were active, which is also a contributing factor. I have not strayed.23 -
My NSV is an SV. I've now lost 50lbs. All Glory to God. I'm going to try on some clothes today, see if I can rack up some NSVs to go with that SV.28

Yesterday as I buttoned my “tight” jeans I told my reflection, “there’s no greater feeling than putting on your tight jeans for the third day in a row and feeling like you’ve lost enough weight to make them baggy!”
And then I stared at myself in shock, because I remembered that I had just gotten my jeans out of the drawer; it wasn’t the third day I was wearing them, they just fit like it was.
I still can’t believe it.32 -
I’ve finally lost the weight but now time to tone, went WAY out of my comfort zone and signed up at the gym. Have a personal trainer booked and it’s actually happening! Exercising in public is a huge fear but I’m also excited to try something different and get out of the house! Tomorrow is day one wish me luck!29

I'm in the McDonalds drive thru right now getting bigMacs for my boyfriend. I didn't order anything for me! That was tough 😑33

My boss who hasn't seen me in months, walked past me today. I said hello. I even said his name, but he looked at me with such a blank stare. He really had no idea who I was. Ok, so I now have a new body (lost 60lbs), new hair cut (super short), new eyeglasses (purple frames after 20 yrs of gold rims), and new scrubs (was a 2x, now wearing size medium). I have to say, that was fun.47

OMG, I forgot all about checking my BMI chart. I'm actually, finally in the "HEALTHY" range. Oh happy day!!!!!!46

In a month you will be glad you did this! Way to get out of your comfort zone!

I went shopping and as a default I always reach towards the back of the rack to look for an XL. I tried on a L for fun to see how it would look. And it actually fit great, and looked better than the XL! I realized that better fitting clothing really makes a difference!25

I’ve always sucked at jogging. I started the C25K program and finished it two days ago! That’s eight weeks of jogging 3 times a week. My last training session felt easy 🙌30

I am at the last notch on a belt that I purchased about 2 years ago. Started at almost the largest it would go(think it was a size 50?). Also will be doing 12 miles for my long slow run tomorrow, signed up for my first half marathon in 4 and a half years on 10/27/18 in TN.
ETA: @Lora2380 Hope the training session went well, smartest money I have spent on this journey.18 -
My mindset has gradually shifted from being all about the numbers on the scale to now being more interested in body composition and lifting heavy things! Instead of wanting to get to the lowest weight goal, I am now excited about working towards the day I can start my first bulk! No more low scale number. Give me a higher number that consists of muscle gains!20

@besmith11 - 🎉 🎉 Congratulations! That's FABULOUS and not silly at all! I made it to that point myself last month, and am now working to get out of the Severely Obese category (just 12 more pounds).15
