Hi everyone, I just had my bottom wisdom teeth's pulled out and was told and giving a paper they recommend me soft pancakes and soft muffing's to eat after surgery. So my question is to those who had experience with Kodiak cake cups, are the textured from both the flapjack and muffin's soft to the point it's good for my situation and if so what about the brownie cups too? thanks for any help be very appreciated

Pancakes yes. Waffles no. Muffins idk. But I’ve never had my wisdom teeth pulled to say 100%

I tried a Kodiak muffin for my first time this morning, I am pretty sure it was the apple cinnamon flavor. It was soft but the dehydrated apples were a little tough. Maybe if you let it sit for five minutes before cooking the water could soak into the dried apples and soften them. It wasn't hard, just tough.

off topic note: The bear shaped UPC symbol didn't scan, I had to manual enter the numbers. (use the tiny check sum numbers when entering manually.)

I do have a question about the Kodiak muffin apple and cinnamon flavor
Why do they list the cholesterol as greater than 5mg?

The chocolate muffins are great. I keep some in my desk for when I need breakfast at work. They are soft enough I would guess (it's been 35 years since I had my wisdom teeth removed so the memory is not so good :D ).

I'm not a fan of the other flavors but the shouldn't hurt you too much.

How is your pain? Probably not the best doctor advice but when I had mine all pulled at once I was eating steak that night, didn't need any of the meds and healed up without any issues. I must have had one talented oral surgeon lol. As far as the cakes go I'm not sure, my husband had his pulled and it wasn't good, he was stuck eating jello for a week or two I don't think he could have managed pancakes but that was just because of the pain. Feel better 😊

thanks, just got back from the store and tried out the double dark chocolate muffin, blueberry muffing and the chocolate chip maple flapjack, came out soft and tasty. pain is getting better now but that's probably due to the meds lol but I sure already miss the other foods I can't eat yet

It's probably the way labeling is required.

I don't believe so, you would see it more often if it was. Greater than 5mg might mean 1000mg.

I'm thinking that it's a typesetting error and they meant <5mg. "Less than" shows up quite often in nutrition facts.

I'm a big fan of the flapjack cups and I'd say they'd be appropriate for eating after getting your wisdom teeth removed.

From personal experience, you might want to wait a day or two for any real solid food because you don't want to risk anything getting in those sockets. They're a literal pain to clean if something gets stuck there. Stick with yogurt, pudding, jello, and fluids for a few days, then move on to soft foods.

You can make cake shakes using the Kodiak Cups.

1 Kodiak Muffin/brownie, cooked with 3/4 as much water as called for. (You want it to be a little dry, 250 cals)
    6oz almond milk (30 cals)
    1/2c light ice-cream (100 cals)
1 scoop protein powder (120 cals)
    1/2 banana (50 cals)

blend the milk, ice-cream, powder and banana with ice. Then add kodiak muffin in broken up pieces and stir it in.

550 calories and fairly balanced, plenty of protein too!
