Excited to finally stop using the, "I travel too much, no time after managing the kids, I had knee surgery, etc.," excuses and just get this started! I have put time into fitness programs and worked towards better health, but it all comes back to the mean plan and proper nutrition. That five mile run doesn't do a lot of you if you are going to chase it with a pint of Ben and Jerry's later that night.

I'm also looking forward to connecting with other like-minded, positive, and motivated individuals. More details in my bio, but day one is today...game on.

Fun fact: After having knee surgery, frequent late night trips to Taco Bell is not a good way to build a healthy body.

Thank you sir. Yeah...it took me two years post-op to realize that my old lifestyle was gone.

Welcome and best of luck. You want to be a great example for your kids and trying to keep up with them in the gym when they're in their 20's. You most likely won't but the threat you're close will spur them on.

Take care of yourself first. Remember the flight attendant always tells you to put your own mask on in an emergency before helping others.

Umm, I wish we could be friends. I need to work on my fitness!!! (but start with losing 100+ pounds, lol wish me luck). I can't imagine actually going for a 5 mile run, but I love to curl up with Ben and Jerry. My best mates.

Please send me a friend request. I don't know if I will be able to help you much at first, but you could definately offer me some tips! I love fast food too, haven't tried Taco Bell though. Is it good?
