Hi, Does anyone know a really good HIIT App for Android? I like following things to do, instead of thinking of it on my own. I'm not looking for a monthly subscription but it could include a 1 time purchase and obviously free. I'm looking for an app that is organized and keeps track of what I have been doing and knows I'm doing it daily. Thanks.

    I'm not sure I follow.

Are you looking for something that will time your intervals? Or more of a workout planner to tell you that today is sprint day vs bleacher day vs suicides vs whatever else? If you log your workouts into MFP, MFP will know what you're doing on which days.

Workout Planner sounds about right. I was looking at a health website and it told me HIT or HIIT where the best types of workout to burn fat really fast. I not sure what the difference between them is but I do need an app that will burn fat and chisel myself

Maintaining a calorie deficit is the best way to burn fat - i.e. eat less than you burn. It's no different than a bank account... spend more than you save and it'll get smaller, save more than you spend and it'll get bigger. In both scenarios, it's about how much comes in vs how much goes out.

Yes, exercise plays a role in the calories out side, but it's less significant than many people want/think. Exercise to burn calories... but pick exercises that you are most apt to do and that are most suited to any "athletic" goals you may have. If you're just trying to lose weight, then eat less and move more. It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.

Mmm that's right...I will remember this. Thank you.

But to your question... I'm not familiar with any interval-based training routines. You could do something like couch-to-5k, if that's appropriate for you and you have cardio/running goals. Or you could do stronglifts or similar strength training program for strength and body comp (based on your use of the world "chisel" this might be a good option for you).

ooo C25k looks nice. I might consider using that as well as lifting weights. I don't have Access to a GYM so I will just be using Dumbbells and a punching bag.

90% of your battle will be in the kitchen.

Don't do HIIT daily. If you do HIIT right, you wouldn't be able to anyway.

I'm also alarmed at a red flag or two. You don't store fat "really fast". Your body won't burn fat "really fast" either. I don't know your stats, but 1% of your body weight is generally about the highest rate recommended to stay healthy. If you are new to this, which it seems like you are (I would be wrong), I would caution you about trying to jump all in right away. You wouldn't run a marathon at a fast pace without training for it. Any training program worth anything will have you ease into it. The same thing applies to creating a food deficit, and to C25K, and to Strong Lifts/Starting Strength. You can't be untrained and walk into a gym and squat your max potential without training (building up).

So when it comes to "burning fat fast", start with "burning fat slow" by doing something you can sustain and work your way into a habitual program. Do the same with your exercise.

Oh, and I don't know of any HIIT app. (Gotta make this reply relevant).

Alright, thank you for your input. Yea I'm new to this, I mean I've been lifting weights for a week now and been doing a bunch of basic workouts or whatever I can find that actually makes me sweat and raises my heat rate. I am learning a lot from reading this, I appreciate the help.
