weight loss isn't linear. the scale will go up and down according to water weight fluctuations, not just fat loss. doesn't mean you've done anything wrong!

You're only 9 weeks after having your baby (congrats by the way  ), give yourself time - you have lost weight already, some weeks you will lose more than others, some weeks it might look like you have gained but if you have been consistently staying at calorie deficit all will be well. It just takes time. As @tavistocktoad has pointed out already, weightloss isn't linear.

    All the best.

Do you weigh in just once a week? a lot of us use trending weight apps such as happy scale or libra, we weigh in daily (yes even me at maintenance), that way we see the overall trend is where we want it to be i.e either coming down/staying the same etc.

e.g the scale can bounce up and down for me from day to day by up to 4lbs - its not true gain or loss but it happens normally for everyone for a host of reasons : TOM/ loo issues/ too much sodium/ higher carbs. I'll find a helpful link about this and post it soon.

Keep going and enjoy the time with your new baby, they grow up so fast......

Thankyou so much i will have a read of that. No i dont weigh daily purely because i dont want to obsess myself over it and i have a chart i mark of at home each week ive started to use using stickers lol so dont want to keep adding stickers then having to take off so i thought just the once a week would be better for me as can actully say i have lost then throughout that week x

I get that, I'm just a great believer in daily weigh ins, and it has helped me learn so much about weight fluctuations and that in turn gave me confidence during my weight loss journey and now at maintenance.

e.g my weight today was 126, 4 days ago it was 130 - now imagine if I was trying to lose and Mon was my weigh in day! It would have looked as if I wasn't making progress, yet in the days between Mon and Fri it went 130/128/129/126/126.5 - you see, it varies, and that's normal. I just wanted you do not worry too much about that number you see from day to day. Its the overall trend.

In regards to your chart, you could only mark it once a week - just an idea. Its all about giving us confidence to see that we are indeed making progress.

I'm just sharing because everyone has different ideas, some prefer daily, some prefer weekly, some monthly - do what works for you.

So you've lost 4lbs in 2 week? That works out as 2lbs a week, congrats!

I know that sometimes when you think about weighing daily it might seem obsessive, but for me it helps me deal with the fluctuations. I used to find it really disheartening when I didn't see a loss every week, but then I started to track daily and I could see that my weight was going up and down daily and that weeks when I gained, well actually it was because the previous week I had fluctuated low, and this week's weigh in I fluctuated up (so the difference between was a gain). That and I started to be able to use my average weekly weight as opposed to a set day to do my comparisons between weeks, that really helped balance out the fluctuations (This is basically what trending apps do)

My most extreme example was from a few months back. One 10 day block I was up 1.8kg from the previous 10 days! This was because on the day before my weigh in day, I went to a wedding. I traveled, danced loads, and ate lots of salty food. I didn't gain 1.8kg of fat, I was just retaining water, and physically had more food still in my body. It make my stats look awfully silly but actually did nothing more.

I'm 10 weeks postpartum, and I understand your struggle. I dropped 20 of my 40 pounds gained very quickly, and the rest seems pretty comfortable on me :) I know I will need to work harder to drop it, but with breastfeeding it can be a tricky prospect. Feel free to reach out if you need a baby weight loss buddy!
