When people are logging drinks, do you add any liquid to the water column or only pure water into there? Because I seem to live off coffee but it the. Loooks like I have not drank anything.

A lot of people, myself included, only log if it has calories. So I don't bother tracking water, black coffee, diet coke etc. So, if you could look at my drinks, all you'd see is alcohol and the occasional protein shake.

    I drink enough without tracking.

I used to log my water as water and my ice tea as part of the diary. My ice tea had lemon and Stevia, very few if any calories. After a while I didn't add the tea to the diary and counted my tea as water. In the morning I added my watered down cranberry juice to the diary but also counted it as a water.

Now that I have been using MFP for a few months I am in the habit of drinking a lot of water so I no longer log it. I would like to log it to make sure but I don't. If MFP would add a water widget to add 8oz of water to the water logging I would use that but for now unlocking my phone, opening MFP, going to the diary, adding a water takes too much time. Aint nobody got time for that.

I log water and my iced tea, also with Stevia, as water. It has 5 calories per 8 ounces and I might get 15 calories there a day. If I drink something that has some real calories to it, like my sparkling water and juice drink (140 calories), then I log it as food.

I personally see no reason to log liquids unless they have calories.

Thanks for the replies. Especially as the original post was put up in a rush from my phone which moving. Sorry about the typos guys. I add milk to my coffee so am logging it for now, but guessing my milk added. Going to invest in some measuring spoons tomorrow when out and about to take some of the guesswork out of my tracking.
