I train in mixed martial arts and am started a weight training program. Any advice?

I would focus on the basic strength movements - squat - Deadlift - pressing & row. They will have good carry over. build your absolute strength.
Power cleans, rowing & grip & curls for grappling.
I also like alternating dumbell bench - go deep - full range of motion - mimicks a straight punch

I do the same, switched yesterday but I’m starting with resistance bands to get the feel of it. I broke it to four days a week and the mma the fifth. Chest/ triceps
Back/biceps shoulders and legs to split the four days until I know what I’m doing. This will help me study one and incorporate. Good luck. I’m already killing!1 -
Also when I trained I would thow kicks to the heavy bag while wearing ankle weights - lots of kicks0
