Can I still lose weight if I exercise twice a week?

I registered with a new gym in my town and it won't be opened until December. I'm a student and have joined the gym at University and want to remain a member until the new gym opens. The problem is I will be working 3-4 times a week (I go to university twice a week) and the university is far from where I live. Work will start from 7am-3:30pm or 1:30pm-9.30pm. I won't have time to travel all the way to the university. I've decided to work out twice a week when I'm at university. I've tried exercise videos from Gym Ra and other youtube channels, I find them too tiring and prefer going to the gym.
Will I still lose weight if I exercise twice a week?

Exercise can help but losing weight is all about taking in less calories than we burn. Figure out what your calorie intake needs to be (this app will help with that), log accurately and have patience because to lose all we need is to be in calorie deficit consistently, it just takes time.6

Hi! I think that 2 days a week is better than nothing. maybe do weight training and the other 3 days just walk so you do cardio on open air and gym for weights!4

OP can do all that exercise but if they eat more than what they burn, they wont lose. The main thing is diet/food intake, exercise is a bonus to help increase calories burned.12 -
yes, i did not say this because it was obvious to me3

weight loss starts in the kitchen so yes you can lose weight only working out a couple of times per week. calories in, calories out3

I exercise exactly 0 times a week and I'm losing weight>11

As stated above weight loss is about calorie deficit.
I also lost a good part of the weight while doing exactly 0 dedicated exercise.
In fact when I did take up cycling specifically for exercise my weight loss rate really didn't change at all as the extra activity, while doing wonders for my fitness, health and wellbeing also made me hungrier so my calorie deficit remained pretty much the same.2 -
I lost my first 25 pounds with no exercise beyond the usual dog-walking. In fact, when you do start exercising, the scale may go up a couple of pounds for a while because muscles retain water when they're repairing themselves. It's normal, just keep going.2

You can lose weight with exercise twice a week, but your muscle loss will be greater than someone who goes more often. I suggest heavy weights on the days you can go, and moderate cardio + bodyweight exercises outside of that. Best chance you have at keeping muscle mass with limited gym time.
Of course, CICO applies.2 -
Sure, I do full body strength training twice a week and no-gym-required cardio other days.2
