Here We Go Again!

Hi All,

This is my first time posting on this forum. I have spent most of my adult life yo-yoing between 20-30 pounds. Within the last 3 years, I have been as low as 130lbs, and now I am back up to 155. I think I know what the problems are-nighttime snacking, binge eating, stress eating, and an extra glass of wine here and there. I am also 43, so the pounds don’t come off as easily as they used to. I would love some support and motivation. It is especially hard when all you do is look at what was and hate yourself for having to start over. Here’s to another day one tomorrow!

I like to try to put a positive spin on my past weight loss “failures” Sure, I didn’t reach my goal and yes I fell off the healthy eating/exercising wagon but I learned things. Every time I restart my weight loss journey I have all this information in my head from past attempts and I can use that to do better this time.

This time is different, you’re different. You have all the tools you need to succeed.

    Hi!
This is my first post too. I’m in the same boat! I am 43 and I have gained ten pounds in the last year. Before that I kept gaining and losing ten to fifteen pounds. I am 5’9” and now almost at 190. It’s the highest I have ever been and it’s scary!

We can do this. It is the hardest for the first few days but it gets easier and it feels really really good to make progress. We can make ourselves proud.

Let me know if I can help. I know I need it too!

Thank you both for the responses. It is so nice to have support!! New week starts tomorrow, and I know I just need to take it day by day and not get depressed about how far I have fallen. Sweet dreams!

I am there too. Late night binge eating is my problem. I am currently where I need to be for the day, and I know I gotta hold strong. Guess I’ll just have a nice cup of herbal tea (no sugar.) I’ll make that my ritual for night.
