Anyone come back from an injury? Hurt my knee Friday and I’ve been on a roll spinning! I’ve lost 43 pounds and I don’t want to lose my momentum. I’m very discouraged right now!!!!

I've come back from several bad ones - namely a humerus fracture (snapped in half) and a femoral neck stress fracture that got pretty bad. Both required hardware, and both still impose limitations on me and I have good and bad days with them. It takes time and patience, and proper rehabilitation. Also, while recovering it is reccomended to eat at maintenence or even slightly above so your body has the fuel to create he repairs.
Depending on the severity of the injury, it might never be quite the same, or you could come back fully. Are we talking a torn ACL that requires surgery? Or is it a minor injury that a week off and some ibuprofen could fix?1 -
I came back from a rotator cuff injury back in 2016 then injured it again last week. I mostly lift so I had to completely stop benching for 3 months. I would have come back much earlier had I been on a proper diet of more than 1200 calories. I had a terrible diet coach back then who gave me awful advice. Anyway, perhaps you could do some upper body workouts until you recover from your injury.1

I spent most of last year injured! So far so good this year thanks to adding in a proper strength training routine.1

It’s a possible minor meniscus tear so lots of rest and eventually possibly some physical therapy.0
