Now that I know what NSV means...

I couldn't figure out at all what it meant, then someone posted a topic the other day asking. Now that I know, I can say that I have had an NSV (though only a little one)! I'm a university student, and I live away from home so I'm responsible for all of my own meals and taking care of myself. That being said, whenever I visit home, I tend to resort back to my old ways of eating... my family eats very poorly because my dad and brother have high metabolisms, and my mom doesn't have the effort to fight with them to eat healthier. Last week I went home for a couple days, and I was really worried that the 3 pounds that took me two months to lose were just going to be put back on. I was SOOOOO happy when I got back to my apartment that I had not only kept that weight off, but lost another pound! I was actually baffled because I didn't really exercise while I was home, just went walking a couple times. So that's my little accomplishment!

That is great! And I know first-hand what you mean - I live far from my hometown (and far from fast food lol), and only visit my fam a few times a year. And when I do - it's out of control and I gain 5 lbs and then it takes me weeks to get out of the bad ways again. So, way to go and I'll keep your NSV in mind next time I go home!!

  • So THAT'S what NSV means! I feel slightly less dumb now!
