Totally resolved to do this but Wednesday (day 3) we are going out to dinner at a burger place. How can I make this work?

No bun, no fries and have a plan. Check out the menu and nutrional information ahead of time. Figure out how many calories you have to spend and know exactly what you are going to eat before you get there.5

Plan ahead, pick a meal that suits your calorie intake and adjust what you eat throughout the day. Make yourself accountable, so if you are planning on going over your calories that day maybe eat less the day before and after. Good luck! Always easier said than done. 😉4

Do not go there starving. Eat a small, healthy snack before.

Eat what you want enjoy it and get back on track the next day one day in the grand scheme of things isn't going to matter2

Review the menu before you get there to figure out how many calories are in the foods. Drink water instead of pop, alcohol, etc.2

Turkey burger, veggie burger, burger salad, grilled chicken, skip the cheese, half the bun or just half the burger, side salad, veggies or soup instead of fries, lower calorie beer if you must.
Go for a walk before or after, reduce calories earlier in the day or the next day or so for a little insurance. (you can go for a weekly total instead of daily)
