Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for work trip snacks/food that I can bring with. I really want them to be satisfying/filling/healthy and natural if at all possible.

I am going to be non stop working practically and dont want to be stuck eating foods I don't want to eat.
I was going to bring some turkey jerky and maybe a few apples. I try to stay away from too many carbs/sugar/processed foods.
Any other healthy suggestions to get me through? Trying to be proactive.

The only thing I will have in my hotel room is the ice bucket to keep anything cool.

Thank you in advance.

    fruit
    cereal
    peanut butter
    crackers
packets of oatmeal (they can be sugary so this would just be for travel)

I've been really big on Larabars. They taste great, are filling, and have less than 9 ingredients that are things I can pronounce! They're a little pricey, but a good option for this kind of thing.

rice cakes, salsa, pears, any fruit, raw veggies that can be easily cut up (peppers). What about dry goods? .25 cup quinoa + 1 cup water + 8 minutes in microwave + berries = tasty.
  • When I went on vacation I packed apples, peaches, bananas, almonds and other nuts, and raisins. They kept well in the hotel room!

I travel for work quite often... I always have Lara Bars and/or Luna Bars with me. Also, mixed nuts, apples and bananas. I also scope out restraunts in the area on-line before I get there so I have an idea of where and what I can choose from if/when I am able to get out for food.

Bumble Bee tuna with crackers. It comes in a variety of flavors - Tuna Salad, Spicy Thai (my favorite), Lemon Pepper, and Sun Dried Tomato.

Dry roasted soy nuts are good! Also dried fruit and nuts. Just watch for added salt and/or sugar.

I agree with the Luna bar suggestion also fruits. I do bring my own kashi cereal in pre-portioned bags and same with nuts. Many hotels have hard boiled eggs now in the restaurants and I just eat the whites for breakfast. Also, single serving packs of protein powder are good.

I NEVER check a bag on a airplane so salsa and peanutbutter do not work for me since they cannot go through security.

If you will have access to transportation, you can always go to the store and get some snacks and such that doesn't require refrigeration, too. If I'm going on long trips, I usually don't bring anything with me and just plan to purchase when I'm there. That way I can sample local produce or treats.
