Holding Pattern

I have been at this since Christmas 2011. I have dropped 3 sizes and a total of 33lbs. We have a place up north on a lake and spend a lot of time there through the summer.
I am finding it so hard to eat clean and not drink too much. Through the week I do great, then on the weekends I am swept up in the "lake life" and just do what everyone else does. We have a ton of fun. We boat and swim and I do yoga on the dock.

I think I have decided that I want to enjoy my summer and sit in a holding pattern for a bit.
Anyone else out there who has made great progress and just wants a break from the pressure of eating completely clean?
I am not giving up, not at all. I just need to sit in a holding pattern for a bit.
Thoughts?

i maintained at 142 for a few months , without gaining anything. I have binged the past couple of days, but besides that i find that staying slightly active with maybe at least a walk every day i can still splurge on my days off. i will also drink and enjoy the summer. just make sure you don't start being lazy, that's where the negative cycle will get ya! You know what types of food are good for your body, so just make sure not to go overboard on the really bad stuff.

I am going through the same thing.

I have grown children and nieces and nephews who come to the cottage through the summer. The more the merrier is what I say.

With their various jobs, not just on weekends either. They all bring friends and everyone brings FOOD! I have just held it together for the last week and with 20 people coming this weekend, I am just going to do my best.

I have lost almost 40 pounds, some before mfp and I will just work hard to maintain.

    Good luck

Well, a little update. I didn't really stay the course but I did find my way back. I have now dropped 50lbs and 5 sizes. I seriously began this WOE (Keto) Sept 3, 2017 so I am over a year in. I have maintained this weight since before summer. I am at my goal now so am transitioning from Keto to Low Carb. I learned that will power has little to do with success. Will Power is fickle. It takes "habit", breaking old ones and creating new ones. It takes 21 days to change a habit. Trust me when I tell you that if I can do this, so can you. I love the way I feel and the way I look. I am healthy and getting stronger every day. Hang in there! You are not alone!
