Popping sensation in chest

I have lost a little over 70 pounds, mostly from my midsection. Recently, I noticed when I pressed on my torso, just under my sternum on the right side, I get a popping feeling. Would it be loose fat going under the sternum? Cartilage maybe that was expanded when I was heavier? Doesn't really hurt, just seems out of the ordinary.

I had something similar and it turned out to be a dislocated rib. You should check with your doctor because it could be any number of things causing it.3

Mine wasn't painful at the time, it still pops out and it is more painful now. I found it while doing a self exam. I didn't know it was there at all until then.1

OK ... thanks. I just happened to stumble upon it. Didn't really hurt or anything. Feeling how my midsection had gone down and then felt the pop when pressing right under the sternum. I will check with the doctor.0
