Preventing loose skin?

I’m 23, but I unfortunately carry most of my fat in my upper body. Mostly in my mid section, what can I do to prevent lose skin while I lose the weight? Are waist trainers efficient? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Three things known to help with loose skin:
- being young (you've got that)
- having favorable genetics (you've either got that or you don't)
- losing the weight slowly (this is the only one you can control, depending on your patience and stick-to-it-ive-ness)
Using lotions, etc., to keep the skin moisturized may or may not help; but may be a good idea anyway.
Using exercise to give yourself taut muscles underneath the potentially problematic skin may or may not help, but is definitely a good idea anyway.2 -

moisturize your skin religiously. especially when you get out of the shower and seal in the moisture. Lose slowly... losing fast is why a lot of people here have a situation. I've never tried compression clothes.,..but I've seen people on here wearing them..so it could help too. I wouldn't know.. but I'd. give it a try..why not?
I lost 40 pounds and I'm older my stomach looks fine.. my arms need a bit of work..but look better all the time. I think if i lift weights it will fix it.2 -

Have good genetics and be young.
Losing slowly helps in that it gives the skin a better chance to keep up (skin shrinks slowly, and it takes time to see where it ultimately ends up). Weight training helps preserve muscle (always a good thing). Creams and lotions moisturize but are ineffective for loose skin. Waist trainers, just don't bother unless you like how they make you look while wearing them. I'd rather be able to breathe and sit comfortably.0
