I’m too young for this!

I grew up in a “we have dinner at the table” family. Mom would cook and going out was only for special occasions. When I moved out of their house I started putting on the pounds because I was too lazy to cook and my boyfriend grew up on southern soul food so I ate what he ate. I’m in my early 20s and I’m way, way over weight. With a wedding (hopefully) in 2020 I decided it was time. I’ve tried every diet in the book and none of them worked. Now I’m doing good old fashioned calorie counting and I’m losing weight faster than I have on any other diet. I’m just hoping I can stick to it and that I can maintain it after I hit my goal

You should be proud! It’s so hard to kick those habits; I’ve been in the same boat. Good luck on your continued journey!0

You got this! Kick the habit early and make healthy decisions together. Myself and my husband when we started dating 5 and a half years ago were you and your boyfriend. We ate out way too much. Now we are trying to turn around a combined intense health gain. Start early! Motivate each other.0

You can do it! The fact that you're seeing results already is a testament to the success of eating in moderation/ eating at a deficit. Keep it up and try to think of ways that you can continue to apply what you've learned about eating to your diet after you reach your goal. It can totally be done and you can totally do it!0
