A Triathlon Week Long Mini Challenge (Of Sorts)

Hello everyone,

I figured I'd get my feet wet, so to speak, and offer a Mini Challenge for this week which is to do all the activities involved in a Triathlon. For this challenge, the objective is not to perform all the activities on the same day, but to reach a goal that you set for the week in the three disciplines.

In this case, I'm counting Monday as the start of the week. You can pick your own day, obviously, as well as your own goals for the week. If you don't have access to a swimming pool or somewhere safe to swim, you can simply treat the challenge as a duathlon (biking and riding).

My personal goals for the week
20 Miles Running
50 Miles Biking
(and if I can get to a pool) 1/2 mile swimming.

    Awesome! I'm actually training for a triathlon - so let's see what my weekly training is for this week:

    Swim at least 1.5miles
    Bike at least 20 miles
    Run at least 13 miles

    Ok. Mine then is:

    Take my son to the pool.
    Take my son to the park on his tricycle.
    Do at least one walk of over a mile with my son.

    Nearly made a mile with my son... One .69 miles and two .96 miles, bizarrely, but I'm aiming for a straight-forward mile, not a cumulative total, so not there yet!

    Just a quick update from Monday through Wednesday:
    So far, biked ~30 miles
    Ran ~8 miles.

    Still haven't made it to the pool.

    Pools are good! Sadly the one I wanted to go to is closed for local meets and water polo (for entire days ?!)

    at 14 miles run total, sitting at 30 miles biked, took today off and I suspect I'm coming down with something, but we'll see how it goes.

    Hey,

    I realize the week has well and truly passed now, but I would like to take on the challenge for this week (albeit half way through). I've been having a bit of trouble with an injury that has impacted my running so the mileage is down a lot from usual.
    My challenge is...

    swim: 6.5km
    bike: 100km
    run: 20km

    Week starting from Monday
    so far I have
    s: 2.1
    b: 56.11
    r: 8.5

    That's a bummer about the pool bloodstar. Did you ever manage to get along? I'm heading to the pool tomorrow morning

    Well I didn't quite achieve my goals but I made a good go of it and was really only unsuccessful thanks to injury.
    Last week I managed...

    swim 6.5km
    bike: 103km
    run: 13.6 (my injury is still really getting in the way)

    This week I don't have as much access to the pool and I don't anticipate my foot will be much better so I think I will aim for
    swim: 2.2km
    bike: 90km
    run: 8km
