Slimming world to My fitness pal?

Hey everyone!
Just wondering if anyone here has made a switch from slimming world or weight watchers to calorie counting on My Fitness pal?
Did you find it better for ypur weight loss using here?
I've been following Slimming World for 4 weeks, I've lost 7 pounds but find it restrictive as I look at it being a diet as there's rules you need to follow...
Would love to hear your experiences.

Hey I followed slimming world for 1 year and lost 5 stone - but now I’m closer to my target I’m thinking calorie counting will help me introduce more healthy fats1

I used Slimming World to hit my goal a few years ago. BUT, I also logged my food at another site that's no longer available. I found that when I hit my goal, I stopped logging but THOUGHT I was continuing well with the Slimming World food maximizing... I wasn't. I gained 24 pounds. lol So... I'm here and logging daily. I do still use many of the Slimming World life hacks... but I also log... not so much for the calorie count as for the calcium, fiber, and fat counts. But you're saying you find Slimming World restrictive? That's why I went with it, it wasn't restrictive to me. Yeah, you have to count your "syns"... and you have to watch how much "healthy extras" you eat... but that's just common sense, you don't want to over do those when you're trying to lose weight. As for which is better... I like both, at the same time. Brother, I'm a BIG help, aren't I!1

@poisonesse No you are a help lol thank you very for your advice, much appreciated. I will be logging my foods on here but still like you said using my slimming world life hacks to help out. I weighed in at my slimming world class today and there was a few people who said they use mfp to log too. Can I ask what is what changes happen to the SW plan when you hit target? Is there like a maintenance plan you follow?0 -
Slimming world worked for me when I was heavy, but then as my weight dropped and my weight loss plateaud, the slimming world answer was to cut syns and fill TWO THIRDS of my plate with superfree food. So basically, keep calories low by eating mostly veg. No thanks! I switched to counting calories, and lost another 3 stone. It is very different in that everything needs to be counted, and weighed, but I feel I have absolute freedom to eat what I want to. I couldn't go back to slimming world, I'd feel restricted. Hope this helps!1
