Hello all,

My name is Mike. I am 29, a teacher, and engaged with a beautiful woman who is the mother of our beautiful baby boy. My reason for posting is that I can hopefully work myself into shape and join the Florida Army National Guard.

June 22, 2018, I started my journey at 306.8 pounds.

Flash forward to today, I am at 266.4 pounds. I know I still have about 70 more pounds to go (I’m 5’10”).

I’ve been eating clean, lifting weights, and most recently added HIIT cardio (when I started in June and July, I just walked).

Was wondering if anybody else is in the same boat as me. I tried searching around, but could only find groups or discussions from a few years ago.

Thanks all!

Not the same boat - Army retired, change to a very different career and lifestyle, lost the discipline, gained a lot of weight, and now trying to lose it (and regain the fitness that I once had).

    Good luck with your aspiration!
