how to slim the thighs

Does anyone have any idea how to slim down inner and outer thighs!? Ive been working out so much cardio, strength, workout DVD with concentration on butt, thighs n legs, but my thighs are not looking any thinner! All the women in my family have "thunder thighs" and I need help on how the heck to get rid of them!!

  • First off measure them! Just to make sure they didn't shrink. If you are getting plenty of exercise, you may need to tweak your diet, add in more lean protein, more veggies, and whole grains.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc-8G9SZvuc I have been doing 10 reps as shown in the video and then 10 reps with my top leg elevated in the air a bit more and then 10 reps as shown again then switch sides. I have done these the last 3 days and I have that great burn in my muscles so I know it is doing something. I also started this one today http://getthin.com/videos/play/long-and-lean-butt-n-thigh-pilates-workout I can tell it is working different muscles as well. Hope those help :)

    Exercise, Exercise, Exercise...... I had huge Inner thighs and since doing Cardio, Squats, Leg Raises etc my Inner thighs have shrunk alot. My only mistake was that i didn't measure body parts or take pics before and i regret it now :(

    Do strength training...it's true what they say, you can't spot reduce, but if nothing else you will tone the problem area! What's been helping me is the evil leg extension machine (that I hate!), the leg press, and squats

    We have the opposite problem! I wish my tummy would go down and instead my legs are vanishing at record speeds! I walk a lot, and everyday I run up and down the stairs with a goal of about 50-80 flights a day, and then there is the swimming ... I literally get in the water and kick rapidly for as long as my body will let me.

    Squats Squats and more Squats! I swear by them! Strength training for sureee! Your Pump and spin classes are great for these :)
  • There is a workout routine from back in the day called Callenetics. She was a former dancer and she used that experience plus a need to overcome some pain issues to come up with the workout. I hated my thighs when I was a teenager and I did this workout. It is hard, but you can feel and soon see your thighs and body toning up very nicely. I'm sure it could be found somewhere on the net. I would wholeheartedly recommend these exercises to anyone.

    because it is your family body style, you will see that it takes a little longer, but it will happen.

    Pretty much just fat loss. You can't pick where it comes off. For me it comes off my stomach first and my thighs absolutely last. I've never ever been happy with my thighs sadly, but am now close to a six pack. Go figure. But honestly I'd rather be a "pear" than an apple. I'm grateful.

    I've been doing leg presses, squats, and lunges and I'm really enjoying the way my things are starting to look. I also spend a lot of time on the elliptical!

    Unfortunately you cannot change you genetic predisposition. If all the women have them and you do too, then it's hereditary. You can lower your BF% and that will help.
