So im new to weight loss, iv lost my first 10 pounds, and im veeery happy about it, still have ALOT more to come, but im happy for this start, when did you start to realise your stomach was getting smaller, or your face had a new shape?
im not expecting miricals, and since im a big girl, i know 10 pounds isnt going to show any difference, but im just how so excited!
so how much did you lose before you saw a difference?

I think about 10. I'm at 12 now...and I notice like my face seems thinner, less under-chin flab, smaller gut :bigsmile:0

I still don't SEE a difference. I feel a difference, but when I look in the mirror I see the same person I have always seen. Not sure why this is, but this is how it is for me.0

For me it didn't start happening until I moved past the 20 lbs mark -- people started noticing the difference in my face.0

About 15 lbs. My mother-in-law asked when I was going to stop. She made my day.0

when I put on pair of old work pants and zipped them up the whole way, no problem. I had lost about 16 pounds. at about 26 pounds (now), I noticed my waist was noticeably different but I've really been working my waist and love handles0

Do yourself a big favor if you havn't yet. Use a tape measure and measure your thigh, at it's largest point, your waist, arm, neck, and bust line. I have lost 19 lbs since 6 - 21- 11. I, too, am not a sm. girl, and have a great deal to lose, but I was surprised that if I measure myself monthly, it is a good way to go. (I saw it on another website) I have lost an inch off of each thigh, 7 inches from my waist, 0.5 inches from my arm and neck and 3 inches from my bust. I put the measuring tape around myself at the measurement that I started at, and all of the space that was there, was shocking. I can not believe how much an inch is on one thigh. wow.
I hope this helps. It has been a great motivator for me.0 -
I didn't see it actually until the 15/20 lb. mark but other people would comment on it. Tak it slow and steady. It took me a year to get were I'm at, and I feel great. There are ups and downs, but just go with the flow and don't get yourself down.

I've lost 30 lbs so far, but I still don't see it until I look at side by side photos.
edit to add... my daughter's doctor noticed yesterday though.0 -
Im down 21 and really dont see it. I put on some pants today that 2 months ago were too small. I have had people make comments...but I dont see it. I feel skinnier than I think I look.0

I looked prettier, healthier, a little sparkle back in my eye around 12 lbs loss.
My clothes started to be loose around 25 lbs (keep in mind I was/am very heavy).
No one (other than my husband) noticed I was loosing weight until I lost 30 lbs and even now, not many notice. It is more that they think I look great, or that I changed my hair or that I'm tan (which I am). They can tell that I look better, they just can't figure out what it is. At first I was a little frustrated, but now I've come to appreciate it. I mean, hey, I do look better and it is more than weight loss. It is my confidence, my healthy eating, all the exercise I'm doing, and now I'm taking better care of myself.
Pretty funny (and a great NSV) is that my 12 year old son FINALLY noticed two days ago (after I lost 38 lbs). He blurted out "Mom, I just looked at you from the back and finally noticed that you're losing weigh!" (Before that, he would tell me that he was proud, but that he didn't see a difference.) Well, better late than never!
The other thing that seemed to do it was that I bought two new shirts (that fit). When the old ones where hanging on me, somehow folks didn't notice. Now folks are starting to notice. I think it is the amount I've lost + the new shirts.0 -
I notice it in the way my clothes fit first. Then I'll look in mirror and realize, Oh! my back fat's melting away!" That's always nice!0

30lbs. It just sort of dawned on me how crazy the change was. Before then it was come and go. But now I never feel like I haven't changed.0
