Hoping for some protein help

Hey everybody,
I had been using Vega Protein for awhile now and rather enjoyed it, that being said I recently read some accusations that the company had a bunch of nasty stuff in their protein (e.g. carcinogens, pesticides, lead, etc)(https://www.consumerreports.org/dietary-supplements/heavy-metals-in-protein-supplements/). While Vega responded to these allegations, I did NOT find their response reassuring.
Does anyone have some suggestions for a vegetable based protein powder? I've been using it in smoothies post morning run and workout.

Idk about their issues but pescience makes my favorite plant based protein and I’m not even vegan...0

Personally, I like a partially defatted peanut powder (not PB2, which has added sugar and other extras) -- I use Protein Plus Peanut Flour. Not exactly a protein powder, but it has 16 g of protein in 110 cals, which is comparable to some vegan protein powders.
When I want a plant-based powder but don't want a peanut flavor, I use Bob's Red Mill unflavored, unsweetened pea protein powder (21 g of protein for 100 cals) or Trader Joe's vanilla flavored hemp protein powder (only 9 g of protein for 130 cals).

I never liked the flavor of Vega. I prefer Orgain for a vegan protein powder.0

I like Sun Warrior. I tried Vega once and I thought it was nasty (from stevia? Super sweet and fake tasting).
Sun warrior has samples for minimal cost (per the FAQ https://sunwarrior.com/pages/faq) for USA. I ended up preferring the unsweetened powder- I blended it up with fruit anyway, so it was sweet enough for me.0 -
The amounts of a lot of the heavy metals were extremely minimal in most of them. I suspect an agenda, fearmongering or both!3

If your interest is strictly vegan protein and not calories, why not just eat high protein vegan foods like nuts and seeds? Pumpkin seeds have 17g of protein in just 1/4 cup. There are alos plenty of other protein rich vegan sources that are not going to contain any chemicals like the powder you are consuming...https://healthline.com/nutrition/protein-for-vegans-vegetarians#section163
