So I have a problem with of if I know the food is in the house and I know where it is I have a hard time not eating it
this Halloween I ate 30 Hershey bars and 30 Reese's cups and not the small one I mean full size bars
my grandma was upset understandable and so was I but after words she apologize for showing me the candy and she said should of know better then that I have this problem with food
It's really a addiction I have just starlight up with food and I struggle a lot with it mentally beatting myself up for eating stuff I don't/shouldn't of eaten
my grandma says I have a strong will cause when it comes to being offered to buy junk food be it Oreos or cake when out grocery shopping with her I easily say no I don't know why it so much easier for me to just flat out refuse the junk but when it's in the house my will to resit eating it is noun existent I don't know if it's cause it's home and I let my defense down naturally or what
has anyone else have with this struggle with sweets or food in generally and found ways to over come it if so pleas let me know how you do it

Get it out of your house! Hugs.

I agree with the above suggestion about getting the food out of the house. Some people are able to moderate their intake and have a portion here and there, and others will not be able to stop eating until every morsel is gone.
If you are better with abstaining, then don't fight it. Don't bring the food into the house. If someone you live with really wants that food, go out somewhere to get it, like going out for ice cream or dessert. If it's coming into the house, opt for a single size portion rather than a container with multiple servings. There's nothing wrong with choosing not to have certain foods in the house.4 -
So do I understand that you ate sixty (60) full sized candy bars in one day?
Because if that's correct, I think your problem goes well beyond knowing the food is in the house.4 -
No I did not eat it all in 1 day I would of gone to a Hospital if I done that no I'm talking like 4-6 bars a day over the course of 20 days which is still really freaking bad but not I have to go to the Hospital to have my stomach pump1

@kgeyser that would be a good idea And I would be down doing it if I didn't live with 4 other people and my grandma does the grocery shopping and she is a feeder she didn't have a good childhood so she's always wanted her kids to get what they want and be well fed to which why does your 75 soon to be 76 grandma do the shopping well she is stuck in her ways and when we try to conceive her to do the shopping she get annoyed and doesn't back down it's something she enjoys and that's is really hard to fight I'm honestly think I won't be able to make any real weight loss progress until she either gets to old and physical can't do it or kicks the bucket but I love my grandma so I'd prefer the first option0

I was passing out candy to trick o treat children at work and as a volunteer at church. So for about 4 hours I passed out bags and bags of candy. I am diabetic, but I did have a few pieces. My blood sugar was sky high the next day. But I don't buy candy and I only ate a few pieces. But as bad as I felt the next day, I'm going to continue to keep candy out of my house. Maybe next year refuse to pass out candy. I literally passed out 2 grocery bags full of candy.0

Ok, you live with 4 other people and don't do the grocery shopping. Those 4 other people love you, or at least like you somewhat at the very least, right? So they should want you to succeed and be willing to help you do it. Is there a place in the house where those treats can be stored in an out of sight/out of mind way? I put treats I have trouble moderating in a cabinet I rarely go into - most of the time I forget they are even there. It's also helpful to make sure you have treats that you know you can handle readily available.
Pre-logging your day can help, because then you have a visual showing you that you can't fit it in. It also helps because you then know what you get to eat next and can look forward to that.1
