Need to vent

My doctor recently switched me to an entirely different birth control pill, with a different mix of hormones.
That being said, she had me start taking this new pill before the old pack was finished. So, I started this new regimen a week before I was 'supposed' to have my period.

That week is now, and of course I'm not getting it.

I don't feel a huge change with this new pill, except the fact that I haven't lost any weight in two weeks, that I'm actually kind of gaining this week. I know it's not fat -- I just recently increased my calorie goal because I am 5 pounds away from my weight goal and I need to eat more to lose the slow and steady way.

It must all be terrible water weight. My measurements haven't changed, either.

It's just frustrating. I'm not giving up or anything, because I've created healthy habits for life. I'm working out 5-6 days a week. I'm eating back most if not all of my exercise calories. I'm staying very very close to my macro goals. I'm drinking more than 8 cups of water a day. I haven't had a whole lot of sodium in the past week.

I can't wait for 2 more weeks to pass by so I can just get TOM over with, and hopefully drop all this extra weight.
I don't live my life by the scale, but after a week of trying hard and seeing it go UP, it's discouraging.

OK rant over!

That sounds so frustrating for you :frown: you should be so proud of the lifestyle you have created for yourself so focus on that and i'm sure that very soon your body will adjust and catch up with you.

And keep on drinking that water!!! :drinker:
  • emy10284: Yeah, I honestly don't see how you can gain weight on birth control for an extended period of time. If you're already watching what you eat and exercising, it should eventually come back down. That's what I'm hoping will happen for me!

    And yes, MORE WATER! Hahah.
