Hello from New Zealand.
Im a 62yr old lady. 2 years ago I was told I had type 2 diabeties due to putting on to much weight. I didnt take much notice till 6 months ago when I got growled at by a diabetic nurse who told me i was not to eat sugar and im to stop eating sugar food, I was finally able to think it through and realised I have been doing myself a disfavor. So as i live on my own I decided I had to change my ways. I am now eating the right foods but dont know if its enough and exercise more. Im now in the posession of a fitbit to help me know my steps and to see if i am burning off enough calories. I dont run but do power walk and can do this for an hour 5 x a week or more if good weather. Roll on summer for I be out more.
