Hey guys my introduction. I have been obese for quite some time. My wife and I just had another child a month and a half ago and it has turned out to be a turning point for me. I was tired of looking in the mirror, tired of the depression. So 8 days ago I decided I was done being fat.
I was 347.7 lbs, I decided to quit drinking diet soda (only drink water and 1 cup of coffee a day now) I have been doing low carb, my macros are in check my keto strips are at the moderate range and so far in 8 days I have lost 6 lbs.
Today I start p90x2 and I hope to lose between 100-125 pounds overall.

Welcome! I am on a 100+ journey, too. I started back in January. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

There are some really, great supportive people using MFP.

If you'd like, you'd be welcome in either of these groups. Both are being great for me on my 100+ journey.

Friendly bunch! Most people check in once a week.

Weight Loss Challenge and Support Group
This group has a long-running team challenge. Each team has about 40 people. We weigh in each week (you pick the day). There are also daily check-ins encouraged (just a quick check -- how are you doing as regards your plan, what's going well, what not) and lots of fun and supportive conversation.

Good luck! And obviously it's your choice but you don't have to give up your diet soda if you enjoy it. I've lost 90 pounds in a year and have had multiple diet sodas every day. It's one of the great joys in my food plan and I refuse to give it up. And I don't have to because my plan is to eat a certain amount of calories per day and diet soda doesn't have any calories.

Some people claim that diet soda makes them want sweets, but do a little self research and find out what's true for you. That's all that matters. Trying to give up too much at once is a good way to burn out and never really get started.
