i’m challenging myself!!! i’m 154 and i’m challenging myself to hit 140 in 2 months! whos with me (is this doable lol)

I don't want to discourage you, but 14 lbs in 2 months would really only be realistic for some one who is very overweight/obese. Plus, it's over the holidays, do you think you will be able to carry a large deficit through them?
Maybe aim for 1 lb per week? Just do the best you can! If you lose even a little weight over the holidays, you'll be doing better than most Good luck!8 -
That's almost 2 pounds a week for someone who is already pretty close to healthy weight. You may be able to starve yourself and lose the weight, if you're really disciplined, but chances are very good you'll gain it all back in January. That low a deficit isn't healthy, you'll lose muscle, and it isn't sustainable long term. Doing that big a deficit over the holidays is especially difficult. I would set a healthier goal like 7 or 8 pounds.5

It's doable if you have a deficit of 875 calories a day. That means your TDEE would need to be 2075 to get adequate nutrition if you're female, and 2375 if you're male.
And even at those amounts, it would be a 42 percent deficit if female, and 36 percent if male. Both exceeding the recommended max of a 25 percent deficit.
There's a difference between doable and smart.

14 in two months isnt crazy. 16 is 2 per week. So shoot for 1.5 per week for your cals, and maybe add a little excercise in2

my 2 cents:
1. Losing weight fast has much written , here and otherwhere, about the potential risks to your health.
2. Losing weight for reason other than a desire for lifelong health ((such as " need to fit in once-in-a-lifetime clothes") has as much written about the risk of failure to maintain the motivation because the reason is no longer there.
A question for you to think about:
What will happen if you take longer to lose the weight?

No offense, but that's really easy for a guy, who starts out with a greater calorie allowance in the first place, to say. When I was close to 150 lbs, my TDEE was @ 1900 calories. I would've had to net only 1150 cals a day to lose 1.5 lbs per week. That is super hard to do without being hangry, and pretty hard to do without risking some nutritional deficiencies. And the smaller you are, the harder it is to burn a ton of calories with exercise.
At 154 lbs, I doubt OP could sustain the deficit needed for 1.5 lbs for 2 months, especially over the holidays. 1.5 - 2 lbs per week is super aggressive for an average size woman who isn't obese.6 -

Words can't describe how cranky I'd be trying to lose 1.5 to 2 pounds per week. I adjusted my goal down to .5 per week right around the weight the OP is now out of consideration for my family and co-workers7 -
If you're 5ft tall, you could probably do this if you are very focused on eating properly, exercise regularly and avoid holiday deliciousness. But only because 154lbs at 5 ft tall is considered obese. That's my personal experience.
Otherwise it's better to set reasonable goals that you can feel successful about accomplishing. It's a boost for mental health and encourages commitment. One pound a week is recommended but as others have mentioned, the holidays are approaching. Half a pound a week would be best, especially if you're at or close to a normal weight range.
Don't be discouraged by these answers! You *can* lose weight. It might just need more time. But you'll be happier in the long run if you set a sustainable pace for yourself. That way, you not only lose it but keep it off.1 -
I lost 16 pounds in 6 weeks and it was hard work, very limited menu and workouts 5 times a week. However, a year later, I gained 10 pounds because I did not continue that lifestyle. I agree, a pound week is probably the best plan, especially for lasting results.4
