Hi lovely MFP users!
My name is Danni, and my hubby to be and I are getting married in May next year. I have a gorgeous dress that I would love to absolutely stun him in 😍 I have therefore started on a new fitness journey to get wedding fit - to move more (not easy with a desk job), gym more and understand my food more, so I can lead a better and healthier lifestyle to reach my goal!
I’d love to hear from anyone else that is on a similar journey - not necessarily a bride to be - and would love to hear your tips and tricks for getting up and moving about whilst working full time at a desk, and any yummy recipes for protein smoothies that don’t contain bananas 😂 xx

Welcome and congrats on your engagement!
Here are a couple of links that I think you’ll find very helpful:

http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1
The first covers accurate logging and some of the tools in MFP to help you make things easier. The second discusses caloric needs and setting goals. These are two of the most commonly-referenced threads on MFP; tons of people point to them as being sources of great info when you're just starting out.
For more friends check out these threads, which are fairly popular:

I'm losing weight for my wedding too. It's in September next near There are so many smoothies you can make without bananas. I usually use coconut milk, plain greek yogurt, a scoop of powder (to add nutrients or protein), and a few different frozen fruits. I've noticed strawberry and raspberry go well together, but you can use whatever fruit is your favorite.0

Congratulations on your engagement and your upcoming wedding...it’s a very exciting time isn’t it ☺️
Thank you for the smoothie advice, it sounds so much simpler than I thought...I shall grab out the blender this evening and give some different ones a go over the next few days x0 -
