when logging ground beef do you count all the calories as the package says raw? so in my case i just cooked up some angus round ground which is 85% lean and 15% fat for a 112g raw serving is 240 calories but in the cooking process a lot of that fat is cooked off and drained. so should i log that 240 cals or should i try to find a entry for that or could someone show me the correct entry for these type of situations thanks.

I would personally log the entire amount of calories and just know that you probably had a little less because you drained the meat. There's really no way of pinpointing the exact amount of calories you lost while draining. There are a few websites with some information about the subject that I found interesting! You could try searching the database for "blotted ground beef 85%" and see if you want to use any of those entries. None will be 100% accurate, which is why I'd just go with the raw calories.

Go to the USDA database and find the cooking method closest to what you used and plug that into MFP. For example, Beef, ground, 85% lean meat / 15% fat, patty, cooked, pan-broiled.
However, you'd need the weight of the cooked beef.1 -
ah thank you very much for that, just what i was looking for.0
