I’m stuck drinking high performance protein shakes per doctors orders, however; they’re causing discomfort and bloating. I’m not meeting the necessary caloric intake for this app so, I have to cheat by adding extra food to my log. I’m doing exactly as my doctor tells me, and this app is refusing to let me complete the diary due to not meeting the requirements. I’m losing weight though so, that’s a bonus. I just hate feeling sick all the time, and hearing the diary this way.

This sounds like something you need to discuss with your doctor7

Discuss your issues with your doctor.
You don't have to complete the diary for your information to be stored. It's save as soon as you log it. Completing it only gives you an erroneous five week projection and posts to your feed.9 -
I have a hard time digesting whey protein, which is what is in most protein shakes. If it's OK with your doctor, you might want to change to a different type. I use a vegan pea protein.
The app is set up the way it is to encourage safe weight loss for the majority of members, most of whom are not under a doctor's care. Don't worry about it if your doctor has told you otherwise. It still tracks your intake whether you close your diary for the day or not.5 -

If you don't mind sharing... are you drinking the shakes for the purpose of weight loss?0 -
When you say 'doctor' are you talking about a GP?0

I’m talking about a bariatric specialist. Yes, the protein shakes are what the doctor has prescribed. I am unable to do traditional exercises due to having spinal injuries, nerve disease, and having had both knees crushed in a car accident. It’s frustrating because I was so very active and healthy before, and now I can only do geriatric chair exercises, and I walk two miles every evening hit, tntales me around 4 hours to get the two miles in (thank God for headphones). I really do the best I can, and follow all directives given by my specialist. His nutritionist advised me to try a dairy free one but, she has to get back to me about an approved brand. I’ve been using Premiere One brand, and they said I might be allergic to dairy. Hopefully they get back to me tomorrow.6
