Hello
Sorry to hear you've had a bad year. It's so easy to comfort eat. I'm the same. Just keep thinking to how you feel when you get there. I'm back with stones to loose but I know I can do it. It won't be easy. I hate photos but I've taken a photo of me now and it's not good. But every time I feel like I want to quit I look at it. I also have one of when I was slimmer and fitter. You can do it. If you need a buddy I'd love to swap numbers. A what's app to keep you on track. I need help too so be nice to have someone going through the same. Don't give up everyone in the same boat

This year has been very difficult for me too as I gained lot of weight and now completely out of shape 😖.
My child is my motivation. I wasn’t doing anything for myself (low self esteem) but luckily found motivation due to my child when one day I heard him innocently saying something about my weight.
For me to be fit to run, dance, play with my kids is goal and motivation.
When my son sees my Pacer (step counting app), he feels very excited with big number and I feel very proud.
But really once you kick start your fitness journey due to any reason, you really start doing it for yourself. Now I am self motivated. I have my own goals.
Keep using the app so you don’t loose track. All the best.0 -

Don't try to do too much too soon, and set small incremental goals. If you feel like you might want to quit, make a conscious decision to eat your maintenance level calories for a week, do that without guilt, and then get back to your deficit on a preplanned day.
In the meantime, brainstorm some other strategies to use when you would normally comfort eat. Save a puppy video YT channel. Text someone. Play Candy Crush. Do a crossword puzzle. Take a walk
I'm sorry you've been struggling, hang in there!0
