Hey everyone! I know there are a lot of amazing success stories that are longer term (good on you for sticking to it!) But right now I'm looking for some short term goal motivation from all of you who are crushing it! So tell me your best progress in 6 mos! I would especially love some experiences / pics from people who stated weightlifting routines.

I’m almost 4 months and down 50 pounds.
Start day: 7/25/18
Start weight: 309
Current weight as of 11/16/18: 259
Goal weight: 225
Height 6’4”
My strategy this time has been CICO and exercise with my main focus going towards my food. Every other time I tried to lose weight I focused on exercise first, food second. Never worked. I have a food scale, weigh everything and stick to my calorie goal. I gravitate towards lower carbs but my macros usually end up being in the ranges of 35-40 p / 30-35 f / 25-30 c
For the first month I just did light cardio and light circuit training. I’ve upped my exercise to more intense cardio sessions on the elliptical and bike. My strength training has also gotten more intense and I’ve added in some more fun and intense exercises like the prowler sled(which is awesome! and I’m really getting into kettlebells right now). I’m changing my exercises to be more focused on strength training over the next 2 months, with cardio second, hoping to build some more strength (or at least prevent lean mass loss) while getting down to my goal weight.
Often times I feel frustrated and like I haven’t made any progress. But looking at measurements and photos it’s obvious I’m doing great. Photos are so important! Below is my most recent pic split. Maybe at the end of 6 months I’ll feel confident enough to do a shirtless one
7/25/18: 309
11/16/18: 259
The beard probably counts for 5 pounds in its own

It'll be 5 months on November 26th, and I've lost 45 pounds, from 294 to 249 at 5'8". I've been lifting heavy and getting pretty strong/building good muscles the whole time, so maybe I would have lost more pounds if I had focussed only on cardio, which I do as well, but the goal is how I feel and look, not the number on the scale.5

In 5 months now. Down 39 pounds. Bodyfat went from 32% to 24%. Want another 13 pounds off. Went from size 16 jeans to size 8.
I log everything I eat. I weigh and measure everything. No sodas, no bread, no sweets. I am a sugar freak, so treating myself to sugar things backfired on me. Every cell in my body feels healthy now so really am not tempted to have processed foods.
I do about 3 1/2 to 4 hours of cardio a week and lift heavy three times a week.
No more back pain. No more hip pain.
I am so grateful for my health, the fact that my body is an amazing instrument, my family and friends who have offered amazing support. Life is good!10 -
I'd have to say this past 6 months cutting after my third bulk. I lost around 12lbs, it was on the slower side but I was consistent and I was very happy with my body composition results.7

6 months inspirations are great but it took probably longer than six months to become overweight. So please dont look for quick fixes, cause usually those that lose it quickly will most likely gain it back quickly. Voice of experience.

Wow thanks everyone! Great inspiration!
And don't worry @1PoisonIvy I'm not thinking 6 months will undo my years of bad habits and have me at goal. That's why i am looking for just an initial short term goaland seeing others people success is motivating!6 -
I started in March and lost 75 pounds by September (now 102 pounds). I lift weights and do very little cardio.
No pics because I still need to lose another 80 pounds.5 -
Going slow with weight loss definitely helps to establish a new lifestyle, new habits, new thoughts. This is what will hopefully sustain the maintenance phase that is long lasting..... thinking positively.5

I started 1/17/18 at 173. On 7/17/18 I weighed 139, so in that 6 month period I lost 34 pounds.8

I started in April of this year at 167 lbs. My best progress was from May through September (18 lbs lost). Since September, I have only lost another 1.4 lbs. Currently at 145.6 lbs. I started back at crossfit 4 months before tracking my diet, so while I was getting fit I was still gaining weight (fat) because my eating was out of control. Lifting weights does help significantly with having visible muscle definition though.

Thank you! @Senata76
Down another 9 pounds since that photo. Slow and steady it keeps coming off. Hopefully your hubby will be inspired . So much better being more active with my kids and life in general. Still feels like nothings changing some days, but just keeping at the plan pays off!1
