Hi I'm new. I'm wondering how many bottles of water I should be drinking a day? Thanks.

However many you want. Though I recommend getting a reusable water bottle and filling it with tap water (or filtered water). Much better for the environment.
There are some that say 8 8-oz cups of water per day as a minimum; others say to drink half your body weight (only ounces instead of pounds) in water every day. I could never drink that much, all I ever do is get up and pee.
I usually end up drinking 8-12 8-oz servings of liquids a day (water, tea, coffee, soda). I don't count alcoholic beverages in my fluid count.6 -
none. bottles are terrible for the environment and should only be used when absolutely necessary (stuck at an event or out and about without water)8

The recommendation is a minimum of 8 8oz cups of water. The traditional half liter bottle of water is 16.9 fl oz, so 4 of those. If you are drinking bigger 20 oz bottles, then you need a bit more than 3.2

You don't need any.
You just need to be hydrated. The colour of your urine is the best way to tell.
Unless you drink energy drinks with B2 in5 -
Thank you. Just to add I'm drinking from a refillable water bottle, it was just to get an estimation of how much I should be drinking.1

bottled water is wasteful, you should try a water filter.
I've heard the best way to tell if you're properly hydrated is to go by the color of your pee. It should be light yellow.

Pale yellow urine means you're hydrated. Most liquids and some foods contribute to this.2

No number of ounces/cups/ml will be a good rule of thumb for everybody. It depends upon your activity level, the climate/weather you live in and how much you're out in it, how much you sweat, sodium intake, etc. A man who lives in the arid desert and does construction work outdoors in the summer will have vastly different hydration needs from a woman who lives in a temperate climate and works indoors in an office.
Great and very informative read about hydration here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/821181/myths-and-facts-about-hydration-requirements/p1

There is no magic number...hydration needs are individual and variable based on a number of factors.3

I do well on 8 - 10 glasses of water per day. I do run to the ladies room alot tho, lol.1

The whole 8 glasses a day thing is an old wives tale. Your body has a wonderful mechanism to let you know how much fluid to drink called thirst so drink when you feel thirsty.
The other thing I'll not is that I used the word 'fluid' rather than 'water'. While water is a great way to hydrate everything you drink contributes towards hydration. That glass of diet cola is 99.9% water so for hydration purposes is as good as a glass of water. Even most foods will contribute towards keeping you hydrated. Foods like watermelon and lettuce are like 80% water.8 -

I drink hardly any water, only time really is at the gym. Rest of the time it's endless cups of tea, oh and wine.3

I drink 80-100oz of water a day, but that is more than recommended. I think the general rule of thumb is half your body weight.3

3 liters or 6- 16.9 oz water bottles. I drink 6 to 8 bottles a day1
