Calorie allowance problem

If I set my goal to 2 pounds per week, I’m allotted 1200 calories. If I set it to 1 pound per week, I’m allotted 1450 calories. If I set it to 1.5 pounds per week, it puts me right back down to 1200. Shouldn’t there be an allowance in between at about 1325?

    Agree with jane.

IcyOtter you can manually set your own calorie goal at 1325 id you want.

Oooo...I get it. whether it’s 1.5 or 2 pounds per week, I’d have to go below 1200 calories, which MFP won’t allow me to do. But that 1 pound a week, it loosened up a bit gives me a bit more.

Actually, if 1450 is your calorie target for 1 lb a week, 1200 would be the calorie target for 1.5 lbs a week (3500 kcal per lb per week, or 500 kcal per lb per day, so a half pound is 250 kcal per day, 1200 + 250 = 1450).
