Meeting calorie count, clean eating, OMAD

I'm supposed to be eating 1200 calories per day, and am also doing OMAD. I'm not willing to give up OMAD because I feel best when doing it, but I'd love some recipe ideas for foods that are about 1200 calories that I can eat in an hour. I find it hard to eat healthy because healthy things tend to be low calorie and I am unable to reach my calorie count. Then in order to reach my calorie count, I often have to fit in higher calorie (less healthy) foods. Any ideas on how to keep eating clean but reach my calorie count?

Terms like "healthy" and "clean" are mostly useless because the definition varies from person to person.
I personally believe that all food is healthy if the alternative is undereating. While you try and figure out what you are doing keep eating your daily calorie count.

Why are you limited to 1 hour? Also I thought you were doing a water fast?7

Healthy and high calorie are not mutually exclusive... high calorie doesn't automatically mean sleeves and sleeves or oreos.
But to your question... tacos can be made a lot of different ways based on calorie and macro needs, so that's always a good option. Same with things like chilis and stews. Salads can be if you add in some full fat dairy and protein options. Pretty much anything italian, too. Burgers can also be topped with a variety of things based on needs, tastes, etc.8 -
i could do 1200 pretty easy with a bowl of farro and some chicken - 100g raw farro is about 350g - so some like 150-175g of that; add in some chicken and some fiberous veggies and voila2

This website lets you get menu ideas for a given number of meals and calories, with options for vegan, keto friendly, etc. I use it from time to time if I want to look for something new. The 'default' for 1 meal seems to go to breakfast if you don't have a login, but I think you get more options with an account.

Just because something is high in calories doesn't mean it's unhealthy...12

I've done omad in the past.
Try adding a sweet potato
A bit of cheese or nuts such as almonds or cashews.
Glass of milk
Avocado
Rice
Small bit of Butter4 -
My dinner is usually 1200 to 1400 calories and none of it is junk food. Protein, veggies, starch, fats and some fruit after. The idea that you can't eat "healthy" foods and get enough calories is kind of ridiculous really. Whether a food is healthy or not depends on the context and the amount.6

My opinion, and it’s mine only, is that at 1,200 daily calories, eat whatever you want. Practicing OMAD, you’ll naturally gravitate towards the best and satisfying foods for YOU. Good luck.9
