Dressings

I always have a hard time with dressings. Knowing how much fat should be in them to maintain weight. Any suggestions? Brands? Flavors?

Weight won't be about the fat in them, only the calories.

If you're talking about salad dressings, pick the ones you like, measure them accurately, and enjoy on your salad.

Personally I'm a fan of the Bolthouse Farms yogurt-based dressings as the flavors were good, and lower calories than "regular" dressings.
  • Opa by Litehouse Greek yogurt dressings. That feta dill is insane. The blue cheese is a staple around here. We mix it with sour cream and eat it with chips. I do a similar thing with the ranch, and add chipotle powder to it.

My personal FAVORITE salad dressing is 3 Tbsp Dijon Mustard, 2 Tbsp ACV, and 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup. I personally make my own quick dressings because I can control what goes into them. Especially when it comes to the sodium.

Olive oil + a high quality vinegar. Control calories based on amount of olive oil. Red wine vinegar plus a good mustard is a lower cal option. There are tons of tasty and fast recipes for dressings, so experiment.
