    Good job.

Have you talked to your doctor about a full nutrition plan? You can look at Diabetes.org and there is a lot of info.

Are you trying to get out and get a bit of exercise? That will help with weight loss which will help with blood sugar. :)

    You'll get there!

It's a lot to manage, but once good habits are created it will be effortless. It's hard in the beginning.

If you stick to the balanced diet and exercise and manage to lose some weight, the possibility of getting off Insulin is real. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

It just takes time and patience. So don't give up because of an off day. Long term, it's worth it

ETA: provided you're not a type 1 diabetic, which requires insulin injections for survival because the body is incapable of producing its own

I urge you to research Dr Fung, and maybe get his book The Diabetes Code. It’s really eye opening and makes so much sense. He has a lot of good videos on YouTube too. He’s a diabetes doc with a different false and bogus perspective on controlling diabetes and losing weight.
Fixed it for you. Fung is a nonsense spewing charlatan.

OP, many people successfully manage diabetes and lose weight via an appropriate diet program (and medication if deemed necessary). Don’t fall for Fung’s snake oil, he is a laughingstock amongst evidence-based researchers/scientists.

Exercise and a balanced diet works for me. Im not a big fan of dr fung's methods although there was some facts I picked up from him that made me understand my situation more clearly.
